Archista Architects

Archista is a unique firm engaged in both design and conservation. With a keen eye for the potentials and challenges presented by structural and aesthetic demands of each project and its local environs, we work to combine form, function and authenticity in all that we do.

Located in the heart of Istanbul, Archista has worked in cooperation with the Kalayciyan Architecte office in Paris on numerous projects, both in Turkey and abroad.

Lory Zakar

Lory Zakar

Born in Istanbul in 1984, Lory recieved her bachelor's degree in architecture from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in 2009 and her master's degree in historical building conservation from Istanbul Technical University. Currently she is attending a Phd programe in construction at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. She has been working as team member and consultant in various restoration and construction projects in Paris and in Istanbul since 2009. She is also involved with several NGO organizations engaged with the conservation of cultural heritage.

Kirkor Kalaycıyan

Kirkor Kalayciyan

Born in 1955 in Istanbul, Kirkor graduated from Paris ENSBA UP8 Faculty of Architecture in 1983. He worked with architect José Oubrerie untill 1986. He has taken part as a tutor in different architecture faculties in Paris, USA and Canada (Paris UP8, University of Kentucky, School of Architecture of Toronto).

He founded Kalayciyan Architecte office of architecture in Paris in 1986. With more than 30 years of experience, Kirkor has worked and is still working on projects all over the world.
